PURPOSE-BUILT FOR DJI DRONE FOOTAGE

DJI footage.
AI-crafted.
You direct.

An AI filmmaking workflow tailored to DJI drone footage. From your microSD card to a finished aerial film—through conversation, not an editing app.

You choose the clips and time ranges. Together, you shape the story. Your agent handles creative proposals and command-line production.

A COMPLETE DJI CARD-TO-4K WALKTHROUGH

What you say.
What your agent makes.

One continuous example: exact clip ranges, a screenplay conversation, music, FFmpeg at work, prepared DJI intro/outro assets, revisions and the final 4K delivery. All chapters stay expanded, so you can read straight through.

A complete illustrative conversation—not a live render or a verbatim chat. This example assumes matching DJI intro/outro assets and usable music are already prepared. Brand media are not included in the starter; the agent uses a project-specific composition script.
01

Import the DJI card

WHAT YOU DO · Insert the card and ask your agent to begin.

YOU · DIRECTOR

My DJI microSD card is connected. Read the project guide and import this flight into a new project. Keep the originals.

AI · CREATIVE PARTNER

I’ll check the card and working folder, copy DCIM/MISC, compare file hashes, and index the footage. You can then watch the clips and tell me which ranges are usable.

Choose clips and start/end points

WHAT YOU DO · Watch your footage. Say the filenames, ranges and scene context.

YOU · DIRECTOR

Use these three ranges. The rising shot must keep its complete movement.

Recorded as your usable material pool, not a requirement to use every moment. I can choose and arrange within it, while keeping the complete rising shot. Now, what story do you want to tell?

03

Talk through a screenplay

WHAT YOU DO · Explain the feeling. React to a proposal instead of specifying every edit.

YOU · DIRECTOR

A quiet afternoon by the lake. Open wide, move closer to the water, then rise into the hills. Warm and natural—not a dramatic trailer. Call it “Between Lake and Sky”.

AI · CREATIVE PARTNER

Here’s the structure: a short DJI model intro → establish the campsite → explore the lake → hold the complete rising shot → DJI outro. Keep captions restrained and choose a warm, light soundtrack. I’ll save the story and build the shot order from your ranges.

YOU · DIRECTOR

Yes. Add the matching DJI intro and outro we’ve prepared. Keep the landscape widescreen. The final should be 4K.

Let the agent choose music and run FFmpeg

WHAT YOU DO · Agree on the direction; the agent operates the tools.

AI · CREATIVE PARTNER

I’ll compare light acoustic and soft piano directions, check the music source and license, then prepare a preview. The prepared model-specific intro and outro are part of this project’s composition script.

Watch, listen and refine through chat

WHAT YOU DO · Give ordinary creative feedback. No editing timeline to operate.

YOU · DIRECTOR

The music still feels too grand. Keep the picture and the full rising action, but try the lighter acoustic direction. Make the title smaller.

AI · CREATIVE PARTNER

I’ll keep the shot order and action intact, make short music auditions against the same picture, then adjust the title. Once you choose the sound, I’ll update the project composition—not start over.

FFmpeg · targeted revisionCOMMAND-LINE TOOLS

The lighter version works. Keep this revision and use a frame from the lake shot as the cover.

06

Approve the film and receive the 4K result

WHAT YOU DO · Confirm the version. Your agent exports, checks and keeps the project.

YOU · DIRECTOR

Approved. Export the final in 4K with the prepared DJI intro and outro.

AI · CREATIVE PARTNER

I’ll render the approved project, check the full output, extract your chosen cover, and save the music attribution. Existing finals and originals stay untouched.

YOU ARE THE DIRECTOR

Your vision.
AI creativity and execution.

YOU / 01

The director

You choose the usable DJI clips and time ranges, explain the story, and make the final aesthetic decision. Must-keep actions and excluded shots stay under your control.

AGENT / 02

Creative partner + operator

Your creative director and operator: proposes a screenplay, selects and arranges within your pool, finds suitable music, produces the film with command-line tools and revises with you.

FILES / 03

A project you can resume

Originals, selections, screenplay, music credits, timeline and commands stay together. Change conversations or agents without starting the story again.

FIELD NOTES / THE WORKFLOW IN PRACTICE

The workflow grew
out of making films.

Creative decisions and feedback from making our films, distilled into this DJI aerial workflow. Summaries, not transcripts; no personal footage is distributed.

TONGJIAN LAKE · STRUCTURE

Give every shot a job.

A repeated descent was removed. Landscape, exploration and a final reveal became a story, shaped by the director’s selections and feedback.

LIANGZHU · VISUAL STORYTELLING

Make the map part of the film.

Feedback turned a separate route animation into a synchronized map and elevation layer. Missing route data was never invented.

MUSIC ITERATION · A PRACTICAL LESSON

Change the feeling, not the footage.

Short auditions kept the picture fixed while comparing musical directions. A previously used track was caught and relabeled—not presented as a new choice.

Case illustrations are graphic studies, not actual frames. The wedding example describes iteration only, not a verified final soundtrack.

YOUR FIRST MESSAGE

Read README.md and AGENTS.md. Help me import my DJI drone microSD card and verify the footage. I’ll choose the clips and give you their start/end points. Then let’s discuss the screenplay; you handle creative proposals, shot arrangement, music and command-line production.

python3 tools/aerial.py doctor
python3 tools/demo.py /path/to/new-demo
Windows: use py -3 or your installed python command.

A few practical things.

What does my agent need?

Local file read/write and command execution; network access for music research. Python 3.9+ and FFmpeg/ffprobe. OpenClaw, GPT Dot, Grokbot, Claude Code and Codex CLI are possible entry points depending on permissions—not a claim that every client has been tested.

Which parts of the DJI workflow are automated?

Verified imports, selection records, a basic SDR cut renderer, 8/10-bit software output, soundtrack processing, selectable subtitles, previews, technical checks and archive helpers. The agent provides creative reasoning and music research. Advanced maps, grading, photo animation and typography use project-specific scripts.

Does every DJI recording mode work out of the box?

No. Check the camera profile and actual dependencies. The basic SDR renderer refuses known HDR/BT.2020; unmarked Log/HDR needs inspection and a reviewed color pipeline. It omits original camera audio and uses the chosen soundtrack. Omarchy and each agent client still need their own verification.

Do I need Windows or Stargaze?

No. Keep the project locally. Windows archiving and Stargaze cinema are optional extensions; cinema reuses a configured local library and a sidecar poster. A scan is not proof of successful playback.
